Milwaukee, Wis. (Aug 17, 2016) –
ANOTHER BOLD STRIDE IN INNOVATION WITH NEW OLED PENDANTS
Visa Lighting lighting is taking another step forward in solid state lighting with the introduction of two new OLED pendants. OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) is a carbon based chemistry used in thin layers that emit light when excited by electrons.
OLEDS help solve two issues in the solid-state era: size and glare control. In addition, the uniform output of an OLED panel provides diffuse light without secondary optics, as is necessary when using an LED source. OLEDs provide the quality facial illumination that designers seek by augmenting ambient light levels without overwhelming the eye. This means they provide a comfortable and pleasant light.
"OLED lighting shakes the traditional design paradigms for lighting. Visa Lighting has embraced this opportunity with innovative luminaires that combine striking design elements with beautiful OLED lighting quality with OLEDWorks Lumiblade panels. OLEDWorks has seen very positive response from the lighting industry and Visa Lighting has surely demonstrated leadership in this new category," says Giana Phelan of OLEDWorks.
Visa Lighting’s new pendants, Petal and Limit, are offered with 2900K color temperature. They utilize 3 OLED panels, delivering 850 total lumens.
The Petal pendants provide a beautiful ambient light without overwhelming the eye. Available in uplight or downlight models, this graceful blooming bud can be used in combination for a stylish statement or hung individually for chic sophistication.
The Limit pendant’s minimal design combines straight lines and slight radii in a zig-zag pattern to provide a flowing, organic feel. Designers can use their own vision by grouping fixtures or hanging them at different angles.
Designers can add an accent color to create more visual interest or complement the interior finishes in a space, or create effects by controlling each OLED panel individually. These pendants are low voltage and offered with three dimming options. They can be configured and integrated, making these luminaires adaptable allowing professional designers to meet their design objectives.
